TREATMENT

OVERVIEW

Katrine Cakuls’ treatment works on the whole person to restore fluid movement, decrease pain, and balance the mind / spirit.

She considers all aspects of a patient’s life, carefully assesses mobility in all the body’s systems, and isolates the strains that are the root cause of the problem.

Her experienced hands work throughout the body to release these restrictions, allowing the muscles, joints, organs, blood and nervous systems to work optimally, freeing the body’s capacity to repair itself. The result is comfortable movement, increased energy, and good health, all achieved naturally.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the one hour session, a thorough medical history is taken, followed by physical examination and hands-on treatment.

A home program will be given to complement the work done in the clinic. This may include stretching or strengthening exercises, as well as postural suggestions and stress management techniques.

Appointments are scheduled based on the needs of the individual. Initially, the patient may be seen weekly for 3 visits. Time in between sessions is necessary to allow the body to integrate the work. As a patient’s health improves, the frequency of treatment decreases.

The goal of treatment is to allow the body to naturally heal and regulate itself, so that intervention is not necessary.

DENTAL INTEGRATION

Impacts to our teeth through falls, or car accidents, as well as dental procedures (root canals, braces, Invisalign, bridges, implants) can cause tension in muscles and fascia of the jaw, head, neck, shoulder and upper trunk.

These tightnesses can become an important underlying factor in jaw pain/TMJ syndrome, headaches, neck/shoulder/trunk pain.

Katrine uses specialist hands-on techniques, including cranial work, to free strains around the teeth, palate, head, and jaw. Recognising the connection between teeth and the fascial system, she then works to integrate the improved movement down through the whole body, resulting in pain-free wellbeing.

During Dental Integration work, Katrine regularly liaises with dentists/dental specialists in order to respect your dental health. This teamwork results in effective, safe treatment.

INTELLIGENT STRESS MANAGEMENT

Intelligent Stress Management is a method to deal with stress using simple yet effective tools that are scientifically proven to immediately start to decrease the negative effects of stress on your health.

Based on the work of research institute, HeartMath Institute, as well as the work of Dr. Bruce Lipton, Greg Braden and Joe Dispenza,  Katrine creates an individualised program to teach you how to address stress in the moment it happens. You will learn how to create new response patterns that will help you to build resilience and create healthier stress response patterns in the longterm.

The approach is specifically tailored to your needs, so it can be adapted to suit any age or background. Choose to book for the entire program, or for individual sessions.

Program outline:

  • Four 45 minute sessions 1:1 with Katrine

  • Weekly videos and PDF hand-outs of information covered

SCAR INTEGRATION

Scars, whether old or new, are often an overlooked root cause of chronic pain and tension.

Common procedures such as Caesarian section, appendix removal, hernia repair, face lifts, and hip replacements, all result in scarring as part of the natural healing process.

However, even if scars look to have healed well, they can create tension on surrounding  fascia and joints, causing muscles to pull inefficiently, resulting in pain and tightness not only locally, but in areas further away from the scar.

This is how a Caesarian scar can be an important factor in chronic back or hip pain years after a baby’s birth, or how an appendix removal scar could be at the root of ongoing knee problems.

Katrine’s specialised hands-on treatment technique, Scar Integration Technique, releases scar-related tightnesses that are key to resolving your pain, and allowing you to live comfortably.
